Thank you for referring your patient to the Merrion Fertility Clinic for semen analysis.   For your reference, please follow these guidelines to ensure the sample is analysed correctly.

Give the patient the downloadable form, which details instructions for the collection of samples. 

Please complete the referral form with your practice details as we require this information for administration purposes.

The patient must contact the unit themselves calling 01-6635000 to arrange an appointment.

The laboratory works strictly by prior arrangement only - any samples that have not been organised will not be accepted under any circumstance and hence will not be analysed.

Results are reported to the referring doctor within 10 days of the sample being analysed.

Results or copies of the results will not be circulated back to the patient by the unit.  This is the referring doctors responsibility.
