Reduction in frequency of EU Bloods Testing Requirement
Since Jan 2011, MFC has reduced the frequency of testing couples for Hepatitis and HIV prior to IVF or IUI to once per 12 month period.
This was achieved following extensive research by MFC into this topic. Dr Mary Wingfield and Dr Evelyn Cottell performed a very extensive review of the literature regarding the need for repeated testing which was published in the prestigious medical journal, Human Reproduction.

This review has helped to influence European thinking on the issue and many clinics have reduced the frequency of testing, with obvious savings to patients both in financial terms and in time.
